Using Out-of-Network Benefits
We are an out-of-network provider. This means you pay us first, and then we give you a special receipt called a superbill. You can send this to your insurance to ask for money back.

Paying for your care is safe and easy. We accept all major credit cards and health savings cards (HSA/FSA). All payments are done through our private and secure online tool.

We specialize in the psychiatric care of children, adolescents, and young adults. Our treatments are tailored to meet the unique developmental needs of each age group. We typically see ages 4-35.

Peak Mind Psychiatry is an out-of-network provider. We provide detailed superbills that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. In the future we will have insurance offerings.
We provide secure telehealth appointments for patients throughout Texas. This format offers flexibility and allows young patients to receive care in a comfortable, familiar setting. We are in the process of securing an office in Austin, Texas.
About Me
I’m Peter Clauter, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults.
I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin and previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Central Florida. I combine both my engineering and nursing skills to provide the best possible care.
At Peak Mind Psychiatry, I focus on providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that helps young people better understand their minds, build resilience, and reach their full potential.
